I make a three-piece Dutch hood design
with a rolled rim neckpiece. The leather is dyed on
the outside only and tooled if desired. The pieces are then sewn in
the typical cross-stitch pattern. The rolled rim is sewn
to the hood and glued. I use the rolled rim instead of a
sewn piping because I believe that it creates a stiffer,
solid neckpiece. The hood is then finished with a silver
bead and a couple choices of Turk’s knot styles. Braces
are Gortex® unless
otherwise specified. Numerous color choices and combitations are available.
